Categories

1. Kids: Ages 15 and under.

2. Adults: Ages 16 and over.

General Rules

1. Free to Enter: No entry fee is required for participation.

2. Registration: Entrants must register online before the competition begins.

3. Check-In: All participants must check in at the designated area by 10.45am.

4. Natural Hair Only: Mullets must be the entrant’s own hair—no wigs, extensions, or artificial enhancements.

5. Family-Friendly Event: This is a family-friendly event; all participants must maintain appropriate behavior and attire.

Competition Format

1. Stage Walk: Each entrant will showcase their mullet on stage, highlighting its flow, style, and personality.

2. Showmanship Encouraged: Entrants can add flair to their presentation with a unique walk, a pose, or even a brief story about their mullet.

3. Judging Process:

• Judging will be conducted by a panel of judges and may also include audience participation (cheering).

• Scores will be based on the judging criteria outlined below.

Judging Criteria

1. Overall Mullet:

• Length, flow, and effort (30%)

2. Style and Creativity:

• Unique flair, shape, or theme (30%)

3. Presentation:

• Confidence, personality, and stage presence (20%)

4. Crowd Reaction:

• Level of audience engagement and cheers (20%)

Additional Rules by Category

Kids (15 and Under)

1. A parent or guardian must sign a consent form for the child to participate.

2. Styles should be fun, playful, and age-appropriate.

3. Judging will focus on creativity and personality rather than perfection.

Adults (16 and Over)

1. All mullets will be accepted.

2. Styling products and accessories are allowed but must not obscure the mullet itself.

3. Participants can share their “Mullet Story” during their stage walk (optional).

Prizes

1. Prizes will be awarded to the top mullet in each category.

Code of Conduct

1. Participants and spectators are expected to behave respectfully towards judges, organizers, and other entrants.

2. Any inappropriate language, gestures, or behavior will result in disqualification.

3. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify anyone who violates the rules or disrupts the event.

By entering the competition, I confirm that:

1. I meet the age requirement for my category.

2. I understand and agree to the competition rules and judging criteria.

3. I allow photos/videos of my participation to be used for promotional purposes by the organizers.^*
